Seattle Homicicide Detective John Elliott is called to an early morning homicide in the city's Pike Placde Market section. The victim, a young woman, is a government employee but the government refuses to tell him what she did for them. In the course of his investigation, he uncovers the outline of a plot that could rival 9/11 in scope and could influence the outcome of the 2008 Presidential election.
