Finders Keepers

Two hikers in a remote mountain area are unwittingly lured to a hidden cave, and a large bundle in a secret room. It opens into a mural which they assume is a depiction of the area hundreds of years earlier, although it was more advanced than any ancient artwork ever discovered to date. Both men have uneasy feelings toward the find. Through a series of events it is taken to the plant where they work. Soon after, the mural begins to change and people begin to disappear.
Unknown to the two men, the painting is actually a doorway to a sister world with a dominating evil presence. Originally discovered eons ago, it was contained in a one-dimensional space by a secret sect. They became the keepers of the doorway throughout the ages. However, isolation took its toll, and eventually there were only two males left. The old one sent the young one to seek a mate, but he never returned and was presumed dead. The old one wrote a journal filled with pictures and symbols, then sealed the mural along with himself inside a secret room in the cave hoping no one would ever find him.
An old man sees a newspaper article with the mural in the photo. Immediately he packs his meager belongings and journeys to a confrontation which he has been training for his entire life. He spins a tale as old as time as he enlists the hikers' help to overcome the evil presence. Together, they wage the battle of their lives. A struggle of power between good and evil.
