Martin Chuzzlewit

Martin Chuzzlewit is a classic novel written by Charles Dickens and first published in 1844. When young Martin embarks on a voyage that is destined to affect the fortunes of his family and his love. A story about the contrasting destinies of two descendants of the brothers Chuzzlewit, both born and bred to the same heritage of selfishness - Martin, by good fortune escapes and Jonas, fatally, does not. This comic masterpiece is the last of Dickens' picaresque novels and introduces one of his greatest villains, Seth Pecksniff.
