Tortilla Moon

Nate Miller is having an identity crisis. Brought up in a disintegrating family, Nate is propelled to seek his own path in life. The trouble is, he has no map. All the while stalked by an undetected illness, Nate travels to the American West on a convoluted journey to find his place in the world. On the "other" coast, he encounters echoes of the 1960's in a new counterculture of artists, bohemians and burnouts. Along the way, he leaves behind, among other things, a trail of odd jobs, a broken heart and his childhood. Nate Miller's incredible voyage leads to his eventual healing and ultimate triumph--a stable life.

Tortilla Moon is Nate Miller's first work of autobiographical fiction. Miller chooses twenty-five of his life's stories, which he readily admits he gets wrong. As he says, "I've done everything I can to be accurate except for checking the facts or verifying any of the information." Just the same, Tortilla Moon depicts the pain, laughter, absurdity, joy and sorrow of growing up.
