Perseus

Destined to kill his grandfather and take his throne, Perseus -- son of Zeus -- is cast away as a child to die. The gods have other plans, however, and he is rescued by a fisherman and raised into a good, strong young man. He is set on his path to becoming a hero and a man by his half-sister Athena. His task: kill the Gorgon, Medusa.

This retelling of the classic myth focuses not just on the coming of age story of the hero, Perseus, but addresses the backstory of his journey, the family feud of the Olympian gods, for whom he is a pawn.
