Song of the Eclectic Tambourine

This is a story about the strength and fragility of friendships, and a generation in conflict. It is the journey of Marcus Mendoza Amati who falls in love with two young women as disparate as the politics of the 1960s. Lilly is a minister's daughter focused on ending the Vietnam War, social equality, philosophy, and mind-expanding drugs. Mary is beautiful, wealthy, talented and bent on a life of fame and celebrity. While they both leave him behind to live their lives of strong women in a male-dominated society, Marc is deeply affected by what he learned from, and because of, them. He uses these lessons as he moves through life, and eventually finds he may have the means to unite the goals of the two women to a greater purpose.
