In the Shadows of the Oaks An Urban Tale

This is the politically incorrect, candid and provocative story of Sean Allen, a white teacher in an inner city school, who is initially repudiated by the mother of a student he tutors. The more she spurns him the more infatuated he becomes with her and the more he is torn between her and a gorgeous teacher he dates. Their lives become intimately entangled in the past and present and are plagued with hostility, betrayals, rampant corruption, drugs, pervasive street gangs and romance.

While their relationships spin out of control the community also spins out of control - a vicious mayoral election, the murder of an innocent youth, an accidental death of a gang leader, a public outcry regarding Sean’s relationship with the two women and a precipitous battle between warring street gangs, culminating in an explosive ending.

This novel will inflame the proclivities of leftist elitists since it exposes the deplorable conditions of inner city schools and the reasons why they are doomed to fail, from a conservative perspective. It is not for the weak of heart.
