Delany

Delany looks each day, waiting for his sister to come from the north, because every summer she takes him north to stay with her. It's more than the north that he is looking forward to, because that is where his would be girlfriend is. He is only thirteen, but as he would say, "almost fourteen". Charlene, the girl that has caught his eye, is only one year older, but seems much older. Delany isn't giving up hope. Charlene is troubled by something. Her family's weird ways has him wondering about them. But it's his next summer visit when a tragedy strikes Delany that shakes him to the foundation of his soul. Now, the north doesn't shine so brightly. Delany searches for the answer that leads him farther than he ever wanted to go.
