Music Therapy: A Perspective from the Humanities

The author argues for the value of humanities as a basis for the theory and practice of music therapy. Concepts included are the relational turn in psychotherapy, communicative musicality, musicking, and thirdness. Other topics include health, quality of life, philosophies of science, and self-caring.
