Darren Stewart, once the director of NASA’s massive time-travel research facility, is now in charge of converting that obsolete complex into a museum. Darren’s own life is in limbo. He and his wife, Tracey, have separated. She is working with a presidential task force trying to solve a severe water shortage problem on the Western Slope of the United States in order to help prevent an armed conflict.
Darren enlists Skeeter in a search for an ancient time-ship, one lost to the ages in the lore of the pre-historic Anasazi culture in the Southwest. The pursuit offers the two men an opportunity to restore their lives and unlock the eternal riddle of our human origins.
