Democracy Lost and Regained

'Democracy Lost and Regained' explores various facets of the history, principles, and philosophies which went into forging the United States Constitution. Special attention is paid to the Bill of Rights, in general, and the Tenth Amendment, in particular, as important sources of constraint on the meaning and scope of the Constitution.

Much of democracy has been lost through the problematic way in which, among other things, the Tenth Amendment has been understood ... or, perhaps, more appropriately, misunderstood. However, what has been lost can be regained, and this book outlines a possible way of regaining the democratic potential which has been lost ... a way which is simultaneously peaceful and revolutionary.
