Angst of a Teenage Girl: A Poetry Collection

"Angst of a Teenage Girl" takes the reader on a journey through the awkward, funny and often dramatic times of the typical American teenager, dealing with such topics as love, friendship and family. Written between the ages of 13 and 18, the poems take the reader through situations to which we can all relate, when everything seems larger than life, you’re sure you will be friends forever and every crush is the love of your life. Emotional and thought-provoking, the poems take the reader through the author’s passage from girlhood into womanhood, sparking memories of their own journey through the same time in their lives.


Cherlyn Sorcinelli Acquista was born and raised in Elizabeth, NJ, the daughter of a single mother. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from William Paterson University and a Master’s Degree from Montclair State University. Currently, she resides in Monmouth County, NJ with her husband and 2 children.
