BLACK ON WHITE

A rewrite of the author's original title, "a tale of Forbidden Love", this fictional epic follows several generations of the Abe Freeman family. From slavery to modern times, this highly controversial novel graphically covers a subject commonly practiced but never discussed openly. Mixing of the races during slavery days, the continually lightening of darker skin-tones fairly screamed of the sexual predation of the younger and prettier of the young female slave population.
White men were allowed such 'indiscretions', but for any white woman to have sexual relations with a black male, if discovered, would result in a sudden and violent end for him and disgrace, or more, for her. Label it 'revenge for her husband's indiscretions', or simply, 'curiousity', often a more adventuristic woman dared to cross the forbidden 'color barrier'. Thus, the often tragic fate for Abe Freeman and males from following generations was written.
