Paperboys in the late forties and early fifties had to work very hard while delivering the local newspaper to their customers.

They were up early in the morning so that they could get to the 'drop-off' spot, usually by the railroad depot if they were coming by train from the Newspaper Company, or by a loading dock where the delivery truck could throw the bundles onto the dock.

Then the paperboys would get their issued allotment and fold them down to size to fit into their delivery bags. This was a time consuming job. After they packed their paper allotment into their delivery bags, they hoisted their bags over their shoulder, or placed the bag onto their bicycles front basket.

Off they would go to get their deliveries done in time to get back home and ready up their school work and have a quick breakfast.

This story, "The Mystery At Sully Town" follows an early morning paper pickup by our hero Brad Thompson. You will be enchanted by this young paperboy and how he and his friends solve this exciting mystery in their home town of Sully Town! Enjoy!
