Wernicke’s Encephalopathy was almost the end of the line for me. This is a first-person narrative of Wernicke-Korsakoffs from the inside, the patient’s point of view, from the time drinking took its toll, until today when few know I have Korsakoffs. I don’t have the answers to why I recovered when others don’t, but if you’re interested in how the disease feels to one who went through it, this book is for you.
I believe there is hope for those with the disease.
