Lee was also deeply in love with a young woman; Melissa Covington was Lee’s first love.

The disconcerting message two New Jersey State Troopers shared with Lee at his parent’s front door significantly altered his life. From that moment on Lee was forced to re-evaluate his priorities, his faith in God – and his moral compass. After an arduous bout with anger, resentment, alcohol and a chasm of unanswered questions, Lee decided to restore his relationship with God. Doing so also led Lee to discover another love waiting for him: Lee discovered Aubrey McEwing. He found his soul-mate the day he met Aubrey in an unassuming lobby of a photo lab (Lee was a photographer by trade).
