Memoirs of William Tecumseh Sherman

William Tecumseh Sherman served as a General in the U.S. Union Army during the American Civil War (1861–65). Sherman received recognition for his outstanding command of military strategy as well as criticism for his "scorched earth" policies that became the mythic symbol of destruction during the Civil War.
