TIMESTONES is about a man caught in a twist of time that sends him on an impossible journey through time and space.
To fill his long lonely days, George Montera would take a short drive from his home and walk the endless beaches of Alaska, idly searching for stones of unique colors and shapes. He would return home to devote the remaining morning to separating them by color, shape and size. Grieving his recently departed wife, his companion of the last twenty years, he daydreams of meeting her in one of the early morning mists above the lake near his home. The daydream is interrupted by a twist of time that sends him on an impossible journey through time and space.
A shimmer of light flashing from behind me on the grass near my feet gave me an eerie feeling. I turned to look back at the pile of furniture. Whatever had been there shimmered and was gone like it hadn’t been there at all. I looked at the small patch of disturbed grass, knowing there was nothing more to see and nothing more to do. I might as well find out what or where this place was, if nothing else, on the off chance that I would be here for awhile.
