The directions call for a cotton rug yarn made by the Spool Cotton Company of New York.
This company is no longer in business and without a conversion chart available in order to duplicate the exact amount of yarn required for each pattern.
Lily brand Sugar and Cream yarn may be a close equivalent to substitute for these patterns.
Example: To crochet a 37″ circle rug using a double strand of yarn estimated requirements would be four 14 ounce skeins of Lily Sugar and Cream cotton yarn.
