Freshman Daniel Brown thinks puberty is bad enough until the day he feels this burning under his skin and in his bones. No, not a weird form of jock itch – suddenly Daniel’s world spins and he finds himself an exact replica of his own cat. As if puberty didn’t suck enough, it turns Daniel into a shapeshifter. But he isn’t stuck being a werewolf; he can climb trees as a squirrel, battle a cannibalistic spider as a mouse, and play dog-fight with his own golden retriever. Things go downhill fast when Daniel receives a blackmail note from someone who knows his secret. Turns out he’s surrounded by tribes of shifters, and some might be crazy enough to rob houses and kill animals. Using his new shifter skills, Daniel sets out to protect his home town with his new best friend and the shifter girl they both fall for.
