Frank Larson is an aging veteran, still haunted by memories of a violent European war. His daughter, Anita, is struggling to get her life in order after an acrimonious divorce. Together they travel to a battle reunion in Belgium where he encounters an old love and she embraces a new one. Old and new relationships intertwine in this story of two generations brought together by long ago battle in a distant war.
