In 1990, Dr. W. Edwards Deming, father of Total Quality Management, wrote, "Our systems of management have destroyed our people." He wrote this as the opening of his review and introduction to Peter Senge's Pulitzer Prize winning book, "The Fifth Discipline." That statement was the genesis for the research that lead to this book, "Communicating Quality."
