FBI Agent Laura Daniels is getting used to a routine life after being reassigned to the Seattle Field Office for failing to solve the anthrax letter cases in 2001. Now the New York Terrorist cell responsible for those attacks is working on a new mission: to build and detonate a large dirty bomb on US soil.
When Laura is assigned to investigate the theft of low level radiation devices, the trail takes her to the site of Interex Corporation’s controversial natural gas exploration well near Yellowstone National Park, where several large radiation sources are in use. She arrives to find the radiation sources missing and most of the well drilling crew dying of an unknown virus. As the deadly virus mysteriously spreads to several nearby towns and the death toll climbs, the search for the terrorists and answers intensifies.
