Inside a Las Vegas hotel room sits Achmed Ali, a rogue, U.S. government operative taking bids on a black-market nuke. Several floors above him is his unlikely foil—rock star Dani McKenna, who is also a covert, U.S. government operative.
You see, Dani is the perfect spy for the job because she has the perfect cover; her band is in town to play a concert and no one, not even those closest to her, suspect her as a spy. With her rock-star status comes built-in access to people and places other spies only dream of. Trouble is she wants no part of the mission. Not this mission, not the last mission, and absolutely no mission, ever. But having been blackmailed into the job several years ago by her own government—the very government she’s helping—leaves Dani little choice but to fulfill her assignment.
When the front man for Dani’s band is framed and blackmailed for a gruesome murder, Dani’s prime suspect is her government handler, a woman she's never met and who is known to her only as, Mama Bear. Her bandmates are convinced the extortionist is someone entirely different—Dani’s casino-mogul ex-boyfriend. Dani knows that both suspects are capable of pulling off the extortion scheme. And she’s determined to figure out which one of them it is.
Things get really complicated when her current love interest arrives in town. He claims to have a good reason to be there...but his story doesn’t add up, leaving Dani with another odd-shaped puzzle piece.
Will Dani intercept the nuke? Can she trust Mama Bear? Will her tequila-soaked bandmates discover her double-life? Or will Dani's ticking time-bomb-of-a-life blow up in Sin City's face?
