Should Kittens Have Bells?

When the three little kittens got bells, they hung them around their necks. Big, red hen hates the bells. She wants to throw their bells down the well. When she tries to do just that, everything goes wrong. This amusing beginning reader book is filled with short “e” words so it is easy for students to feel successful. Jeff, Meg and Ted endear themselves to the reader especially when they send the big, red hen off on a pilotless jet.
