Reducing Urban Heat Islands: Compendium of Strategies

This describes the causes and impacts of summertime urban heat islands and promotes strategies for lowering temperatures in U.S. communities. This compendium was developed by the Climate Protection Partnership Division in the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Atmospheric Programs. Eva Wong managed its overall development.
