The Valley of Tears

Set in contemporary Baja California, The Valley Of Tears is a novel of conflict and conquest, of loss and discovery, told through its two principal characters: a rich and disillusioned American who believes the force of his will and wealth and pride can accomplish anything, and the owner of a large and chronically arid ranch who accepts a man's love but not his zeal to subdue her land, long inured to swords and folly.
