As a part of her at-sea training, midshipman Michele Pilowski is assigned to a cargo ship looking forward to a quiet and uneventful assignment. Terrorists intent on another attack on the United States smuggle a nuclear weapon onboard hidden as cargo then commandeer the ship on its return voyage. Only Michele avoids capture and soon discovers the terrorists’ sinister plan. Realizing she is the only person that can stop them in time forces her to take action. Alone and facing a suicidal enemy in the middle of the ocean Michele struggles to stay alive and avert a holocaust.
