GOING WILD WITH FORDA BIRDS Volumn 2

A selection of newspaper columns and commentary covering the period of 1980 through 1989, GOING WILD WITH FORDA BIRDS Volume Two deals with the history, conservation of resources, the environment, and both hunting and fishing in Northwestern Ohio. The FORDA BIRDS column has run continuously in the St. Marys (Ohio) EVENING LEADER since October 1969. Written by local historian, sportsman, teacher, and columnist John Andreoni, topics have varied from conservation of local wild life to land and water resources and touched on the history of the area.

In pouring over 500 columns to select which spoke most directly of the 1980s, Andreoni has also given commentary on why each particular piece was chosen or makes a connection between the column's topic and how things have progressed 20 to 30 years later.
