Twice Ariound the Block

“Twice Around the Block” is a humorous family situation that combines the needs of children, Mom’s desire to promote a play she has written, the father’s enthusiasm with the news reporting business and the pit falls of winning one hundred thousand dollars. The stay-at-home-mother spends too much for services of a not-so-smart lawyer who cheats the family out of a large chunk of the lottery prize and steals rights to the mother’s play. The father over-extends with the purchase of an expensive new car for mom and ends up taking out a loan to pay taxes. One sibling heading for college, a second about to complete high school and the younger son, still years away from having a driver’s permit, concerned about his future as a top of the line auto mechanic, add to the building financial problems. The mother re-enters the work force as secretary in a Stock Broker’s office. Dad, a well experienced investigative reporter picks up on Mom’s comments about the stock broker business while the newspapers legal team goes to work on copyright infringement by the shifty lawyer.
All ends well as Dad’s book on the stock market sells big and Mom’s play hits the TV screen. Daughter Linda in college, son Jack off to the Navy and the youngest, Curt, looking ahead to new digs with great possibilities in the auto world.
