Don Chisciotti and Sanciu Panza

The is a mock heroic epic poem written by Giovanni Meli, the greatest Sicilian poet, on the archetypal characters created by Cervantes. It is an original rethinking of the Don Quijote from a Sicilian perspective. In Meli's epic, Sanciu beomes the hero while Don Chiciotti is onsidered a man who "not knowing how to fix a salad, pretended he could fix the world." Only the English text is included. The hard copy has also the Sicilian text.
