The Secrets We've Kept

Originally published as the short story “To Gain My Freedom”. Roderich is a young nobleman living a normal life until Celeste stumbles into his life. Celeste comes to find her younger brother, Ivan, who works for Roderich’s family. Upon meeting Celeste, Roderich finds himself desiring freedom from the life he has and follows Celeste and Ivan to Prussia along with Sasha, Ivan’s friend who also works for Roderich’s family. Will Roderich keep his freedom or will his family hunt him down and force him to return to his home in Switzerland to marry a girl that he doesn’t know?
