It was about three weeks after I gave birth to my daughter that she developed colic. I did not know all that much about colic other than what the doctors told me and that was that there was not much you can do about it. That was not good enough for me. I wanted a way to help this new being have an easier time. For those of you with colicky babies, I am sure you know what I am talking about. The inconsolable crying fits for hours, the feet kicking and the pure helplessness on the side of the parents.
After doing a bit of research on colic I discovered that it was all about digestion. The new members of this earth have been given these new bodies and the organs are learning how to properly work. Not everything has grown into its job yet. This made sense to me and I started to eliminate some foods. I discovered that my daughter did well on foods that were easy to digest and this is how "the Paisley diet" came to be.
