UH--1H/V SERIES AIRCRAFT ONE--TIME INSPECTION OF ROTOR CONTROL PARTS KIT, TB 1-1520-210-20-57

AMCOM has received information which indicates, in several instances, that the integrity of the Rotor Controls Parts Kit, P/N 204--1629--2, has been compromised. The Rotor Controls Parts Kit is flight safety part that consists of nineteen bolts (AN/NAS SPEC bolts), each serialized with the serial number of the kit. The bolts in this kit are replaced as a kit and are not intended to be replaced individually. Information
has been received indicating that damaged, worn, or otherwise unserviceable bolts within the kit are being replaced with common AN/NAS bolts. Additionally, individual bolts are being broken out of Rotor Control Parts Kits to replace bolts on the aircraft. This not only creates a problem with record keeping, it prevents the broken open kit from being used as a complete kit in the future.
