RTI Workshop: How to Implement and Maintain a Successful Program

As its title suggests, this book provides help for those looking to start or maintain a “response to intervention” (RTI) program. RTI is a prevention model for academic and behavior problems that provides ongoing solutions at increasing levels of intensity, based on the student’s response. In particular, RTI addresses – from kindergarten on – the learning and behavior problems that previously had been allowed to go on for too long, wasting instructional time, before students were identified.
This book stresses the use of evidence-based practices delivered in an inclusive classroom, high quality instruction, and the organized accumulation of ongoing data about each student so the district can make informed instructional decisions about each student going forward.
