Orrie Hitt's first novel tells the story of a sleazy insurance salesman and all the women he beds down while on his debit route: lonely housewives, soulful widows, teenage tramps, and wanton whores alike. Then he meets a special lady, a beautiful artist whose older husband forces her to pose for nudie pictures. She comes up with the kind of plan only a femme fatal can: secretly take out a large policy on the husband and then arrange his death. They will cash in and be together.
