Accidental Heroes

It was the new dark ages. In 2008 a catastrophic global economic collapse ushered in an era unheard of in the United States. In the months following the collapse of the world economy society disintegrated, governments were overthrown, countries dissolved, and millions died of disease or violence. It was a time of hopelessness.
Into this world the Jaxson family was plunged. Taking only a very few close friends they retreated to the Jaxson vacation home in upper Michigan to ride out the storm. But, unbeknownst to them, forces were already at work that would unalterably change their lives and their destinies. The quiet life they envisioned was not to be and they became caught up in national events beyond their imagining.
In Washington D.C., Chancellor David Ottoman, the “Protector of the Constitution” was determined to reunify the country that had so recently dissolved even to the point of making war on any who opposed him. So began a time in U.S. history when life had never been cheaper, or liberty more dear. Only the foolish would dare stand up to the power of the Chancellor….or those caught up accidently in events and have no other choice.
