I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did. When I first started reading books on my nook Library I noticed that there are many free classics available. However the formatting is terrible and some are unreadable because of errors in the text. Therefore, I decided to start publishing quality classics that included chapter breaks, table of contents, linked chapters, and illustrations when available. Woven seamlessly into the story is a study of the heart: of bitterness and forgiveness; of hope and faith and the total lack thereof; of what could have been and of what is; and of second chances. For 25 years prior to the story's opening Evelina was betrayed by love and has since suffered alone and in the dark with scars that cause her to hide her face behind a veil of white chiffon. A Spinner in the Sun is her journey from loss and bitterness to the discovery of hope and faith that lead to forgiveness, true love and pure joy. Also as a contrast is what happens to someone who has let the shallowness of superficial things and achievement blind them to the value in relationships and to compassion. There are some intense parts where it is demonstrated what happens when you take the darker path. There are also some interesting twists in the story that are completely unexpected. A great book to read to consider what is truly important in life.
