2034 The Story of Three Americas

"2034, The Story of Three Americas" is a warning shot across America's bow: either we come together as one people and solve our looming financial crisis or we may witness the destruction of the United States. By identifing with characters living in one of three severed countries after a deep Depression in 2019, the reader is exposed to the horrible unintended consequences of shredded safety nets, of class warfare, of racial and ethnic hatreds, of losing freedom and finally, war. The reader will judge whether America's tolerance of different races and cultures is dependent on good times and whether America is immune from Hitler-like tyrants when times get tough. The reader will be forced to confront the issue of whether the American Dream of the Founding Fathers, of building a nation based on the sacred rights of personal freedom and self-determination, has run its course. Or, whether the innate goodness of America and our awakening realization that freedom is more important than the air we breathe, will save us.
