Pity poor Wendy Mole' -- a slipshod spiritual seeker whose biological clock is quickly winding down. She can't find love in meditation class, at yoga, at work, or even in the bars. And while she's tried to systematically lower her standards, there comes a point where all the human race has to offer may not be enough (and vice versa!) ...
Enter RX2-D48 (a.k.a. Rex DeFourette) -- an exploration scout from the planet Visnoid. He's journeyed to earth to record experiences and feelings to transmit back to his home planet. And while he's readily open to all the weird sensations this new world might offer him, he never would have imagined getting involved with an earth creature like Wendy.
To say it's two worlds colliding is perhaps an overstatement -- (and certainly one loaded with gory and tawdry imagery) -- but thanks to Wendy's persistence (and "Rex's" helplessness), the two find a dysfunctional symbiosis one could only imagine in science fiction
