The Magic Man

Bluesy Figwater is a man put on earth to help humankind, born to a South Carolina low-country woman who has worked and reworked voodoo, adding healing power and spiritual guidance to her potion. Her son Bluesy moves forward in his own life and carries forth his family mission: conquer evil so that good can prevail. After many years playing the blues on his trumpet and saving people from themselves, Bluesy is drawn back to his hometown of Sparkleberry where quirky citizens and other beings prove challenging.
