My Silent Friend

My Silent Friend is a story set in a rural southern neighborhood during the early 60's.This story recounts a chance encouner with a young, beautiful,humble very talented deaf girl who shocked the community with her amazing gift. This is only one of the many childhood experiences of young Mott, a bright,inquisitive,imaginative little girl growing up among the older and colorful members of a small close knit southern community. Raised by her grandparents whose love, wisdom and anecdote taught her grand lessons that kept her grounded.
