Special Lil' Girl

Special Lil Girl is a short story that recounts an encounter with a creature she had never seen before high in the tree limb in her grandparents front yard. She was warned previously by a mysterious young lady appeared on the front porch. The young lady felt the need to care for and protect the little girl. One of many childhood experiences of young Mott, a bright, inquisitive little girl growing up among older and colorful members of a small close-knit southern community. Raised by her grandparents whose, love, wisdom and anecdotes taught her grand lessons that kept her grounded.
