Better English

Better English is intended for adult learners of English as a second language (ESL). It is phonetics-based method using only twenty-five letters of the English alphabet (“Q” is not used). This book uses no special signs, symbols, or diacritics, and as such it is computer and internet ready. BE will help its users to clarify their English pronunciation, improve their writing and spelling, and enhance their memory and concentration.

BE uses its author’s English version of the ancient Chinese philosopher Lao-Tzu’s book, Tao Te Ching, as illustrative material because no other thinker comes close to Lao-Tzo in emphasizing the importance of minimizing control and maximizing support in human relationships.
