Awaiting his death penalty for having broken the secret of Mash–fatum, Spark jumps off a cliff but instead of getting smashed, is gently held by a cloud that offers a comfortable chair to him. From this pinnacle, Spark watches the sinister transformations that take place in Lemon Drop Valley. The Volchak’s declare the Cook’s Ritual designed to grill what they call “rubbernecks” and “small fry”. Here is how they announce their Cook’s Ritual:
Hey, rubbernecks, get to arcades,
Put on the masks, and cavalcade,
Lift torches, in the best of humor,
To thank Volchak, our big kahuna.
Get cracking, and recede from view,
Your use adds up to diddly–squat,
We’ll lodge instead a doglock tube,
Of Magic Lantern, just to quote
“First comes the light,”
Then springs the fire.
Next, the onlookers, big and slight,
Collapse into a swarm of gyre.
When Super–Pyzhik prepares to confront the vicious General Volchak, Spark descends to the Valley merely to find out that the secret of Mash–fatum is already spread among all valley folk. A grand move gets underway to Mash–fatum’s hiding place, the Granite Mountain. Using his unique spell of which he was not aware before, Spark manages to lift the Medoons onto the Granite Mountain and save Mash–fatum.
At the end of the first series, the King of Granite Mountain commands Spark to be sworn to the crown yet the scheming vizier devises a trial task for Spark and convinces the King to send him to obtain the Golden Pitcher, belonging to the Ruler of planet Zevera.
