Everything Will Be Different

The fourth in a series of childrens books about skiing, set in the picturesque Austrian village of Alpbach. Christopher and Lucy adore skiing. They return every year to the same chalet, and ski the same routes and visit the same cafes for favourite hot chocolates and ski wasser. But this year money is tight. Can the family afford to go at all? The story explores how having to change ones comfortable routine can still be okay. Although the children are still able to go skiing on their favourite family holiday they will have to stay somewhere else and fly to a new airport, and they will not be able to compete in the end of week races. How can the holiday be any good with everything being so different?

This book is full of skiing tips and ways to keep the holiday cheap. It is a story for children and a guide book for parents. There is plenty to encourage those who are going skiing for the first time and plenty for old hand to identify with. Above all it is a feel good read for anyone who loves skiing and loves Austria.
