Got a great idea for a new product or service? Tired of seeing your company evaporate while management rejects your ideas to innovate? Want to apply your military leadership skills after being discharged? Or, thinking about building an on-line/e-commerce business?

What ever the reason, you may have the right idea! Startup Business 2012 will guide you through the steps to evaluate and launch your business to elevate your life and fulfill your dreams.

Startup Business 2012 is the first book for you – the aspiring entrepreneurs. You will be steered through a customer centric process that avoids why 90% of startups fail – no customer or market. A straightforward six (6) step process provides guidance for ventures ranging from e-commerce to internet apps to brick and mortar opportunities. The six steps are…
 What’s Your Idea!
 Does A Market Exist?
 Improving Your Idea
 What Do Industry Entrepreneurs Think?
 Completing the Business Plan
 Selling Investors
Each step empowers aspiring entrepreneurs to build a solid foundation before investing 1000’s of man-hours and dollars within a product that has no customer demand. You are also granted access to www.startupbusiness2012.com so you can discuss you ideas with the author, business advisors and industry entrepreneurs.

Lastly, Startup Business 2012 will push aspiring entrepreneurs to probe further even after you believe that all the questions have been answered. But throughout the process, your passion and enthusiasm will be supported and hard work acknowledged.

As you begin reading Startup Business 2012, key in mind…

Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of other's opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.” - Steve Jobs

The book was written by John Montelione, a serial entrepreneur -
Growing up in his father’s pharmacy, John practiced the basic tenet of his customer centric career with a simple question to everyone who walked into the store – “how can I help you?” Understanding and fulfilling a customer’s current and on-going needs became the corner stone for his success. Combined with spiral and agile development mythologies, social networking and the understanding the inefficiencies of larger companies to react enabled to John launch a series of startups stealing marketing share from industry giants. Each startup focused on developing best of breed products and gained a dominant position within a significant niche of a larger growing market. Inevitably, acquirers became interested.

With minimum funding, John launched the following companies…
 Guardian Solutions, Sarasota, FL – acquired by Telephonics (Griffon Industries, NYSE listed)
Position: Founder, CEO.

 Paragon Imaging, Boston, MA – acquired by Computing Devices (div. of General Dynamics)
Position: Founder, CEO.

 Mercury Computer System (NASDAQ listed)
Position: Co-Founder, Chairman, VP Marketing and Sales

 Teranex, Orlando, FL
Position: Interim CEO (consultant)

John holds an MBA from New York University where he graduated with Distinction and has lecture at New York University, Fordham College, MIT Enterprise Forum and IEEE
