A Silent Descent

A Silent Descent is a book about one young woman’s life during a turbulent time in Ireland’s past. As a young woman having recently lost her family, Minia seeks solace in the man she loves and the life they build together. Theirs is not an easy life, but they make the most of it, and when Minia learns that she is pregnant, happiness and pride exude from the soon to be parents.

That is until the night a vampirous fiend comes to call, raping Minia and causing her to lose the baby. Learning to adapt to her new condition, and dealing with the guilt of murdering good people to feed her own thirst, Minia keeps a watchful eye over her husband, while he goes off to war. Being unable to save him, Minia is overcome by guilt and sadness, and condemned to a life of immortality.
