In the short story “The Slithering Shadow”, Conan is one of the few survivors of a huge battle. Surrounded, he escapes into the desert. On the verge of death, he finds an ancient city which hides a sinister foe.
This is a short story originally released in the pulp magazine Weird Tales in September 1933.
