Holy Murder

Zane Yancy had been a cop for a long time. After being ambushed and shot, he was forced into retirement where he retreated to a bottle and self-pity. Successfully clearing Margaret Fontenot of murder (Small Town Murders) introduced the retired cop and reluctant detective into a new career ... when pushed by his old antagonist Percy Gaspar or led into it by Megan Tarascon, a lovely ex-school teacher with whom a budding romance is budding. A thugs corpse disappears from the funeral home and its believed by some that that body is a part of a church foundation but as Yancy digs deeper into the case he finds the tentacles of the mob have reached into virtually every aspect of society; including the medical, political, and law enforcement of the bustling city. Murder, prostitution and blackmail prove to be no hindrance to the mobster's greed ... only a soft-nosed .45 slug can handle many of the problems. Mature reading.
